Yahoo! Announces Hosting of YUI libraries on their edge network
Written by on February 23rd, 2007 in Ajax News.
I had the pleasure of being at the Yahoo! UI 1st birthday party put on at the Y!HQ in Sunnyvale. A very nice community has cropped up around YUI and it was nice to meet some of them.
There was an announcement that went with the festivities:
Yahoo! is going to be hosting the YUI files on their edge networks for anyone to use. This is a nice service. It means that you can rely on their fast network, smart caching (Expire/Cache-Control), and smart compression.
You can read more about the particulars via Serving YUI Files from Yahoo! Servers.

Kudos to the team for providing this to the community. It was also very nice to see some of the cool new Ajax apps coming out from within Yahoo! and beyond.
